In Behavioral Therapy, together we will seek to identify and help change potentially self-destructive or unhealthy behaviors. Negative behaviors and feelings can sometimes spiral toward destructive or impulsive behaviors, harm to yourself or others, and addictions just to name a few. Most of these behaviors are learned and are used to cope with difficult emotions. Just as you learn unhealthy behaviors, you can learn and implement positive behaviors to replace them. Let me help you gain the power to change behaviors to help improve relationships, success in school or careers, and promote positive interactions between you and other people.

Anger Management Therapy

The aim of anger management counseling is to help you recognize what triggers your anger and how to change negative automatic responses. I am certified as an Anger Resolution Therapist for individuals of all ages. In anger management counseling, we will work towards reducing anger provoking thoughts and changing perceptions of situations from negative to positive. We will identify and implement calming skills to reduce anger before it explodes. Let me help you find a more appropriate way to handle anger and to solve problems and conflict that you face on a daily basis.

Bullying

Over 3.2 billion students are victims of bullying each year. This alarming statistics of our teens and young adults. Therapy creates a safe and comfortable environment where we will actively work together to work through the consequences of bullying. Whether an individual was physically, verbally, or emotionally bullied, the side effects can be detrimental to one’s self-esteem and mental health. If you are a victim of such bullying behavior, please call and we will work together to implement ways to cope with these problematic situations.

Therapy can also be beneficial to those individuals who bully others. People are not generally mean to others for no reason. Therapy can help explore reasons that a person is a bully and address the hurt, anger, or insecurity that is hidden deep inside them. It can take a lot of humility to ask for help and acknowledge that you have done wrong and that you are not okay. I can help you through providing a non-judgmental and safe environment to discuss these concerns to better yourself and your relationships with others.
